louis vuitton spring 08 collection (see above) inspired by the work of richard prince (see below) seems to have sparked a few designers imaginations. miu miu and fendi's spring 2009 collections prove to have taken the whole sexy nurse idea to the next level.
take note of the skirt/apron in miu miu' s show and the layering of extra skirts and fabrics in fendi's.
glimpses of different color fabrics layered beneath other layers of the garments can be compared to the layering of paint in the richard prince paintings, as well as the nurse- inspired sheer dresses (with colored slips) marc jacobs had the girls trot down the runway in.
