orientalist express

paul smith's spring '09 collection was inspired by the collection of british orientalist paintings shown at the tate museum in england. i find the collection to be very bohemian, and enjoy the mix of pattern and textures. i love seeing what ignites the creative flame . below are paintings from the exhibit, as well as looks from the collection. despite what some say about paul being unable to design for woman, i think he has done a great job. any thoughts?
