the muse and her man

i enjoy surrounding myself with creative people, and non-creative types as well. i find that you learn so much from each other and can be inspired in many different ways. i find it particularly interesting when two creative types get hitched, and continue to grow in their own distinct styles (while learning the language of the other). this couple in particular has been in the light quite a bit, jon currin and rachel feinstein. i have admired currin's work for quite some time, and just recently started to research rachel's. currin uses rachel as his subject quite a bit in his soft and sculptural paintings. rachel's style tend to draw towards the abstract, and gothic baroque style.

rachel and jon (i admire her dress style as well, you can see that her work reflects the garments she chooses)
rachel feinstein
rachel in an issue of w magazine 08 *note currin's paintings in the background. i love the kid element thrown in, with the sexy woman, the color scheme, and the lovely currin creations on the walls.
