michael o'connor gets the award for best costume design. o'connor designed the costumes after careful research. he examined portraits of Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire as well as books, patterns, and accessories, of 18th century fashion.o'connor successfully recreated one of the most glamorous trend-setting woman of history, georgianna (the dutchess of devonshire), carefully paying attention to the colors used, the sahpes of garments, and knightley herself. i loved the film and find the wardrobe to be breathtaking. o'connor reveals his secrets in elle magazine, as well as his favorite look from the film.

HI,
ReplyDeleteIam currently researching Michael O'Connor's designs for The Duchess film, the pregnancy design in particular. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to find the original design please. I am studying a costume degree in University of Glamorgan.
Thanks
