role reversal: making the expensive look cheap

so... turning through the pages of one of my top favorite magazines "self service" issue number 29, i found that they make the innaccessible fashions of today (inaccessible as in not being able to afford ) look so main stream or cheap (in a good way)- actually just cool. i think that this is what the look of our century is all about, i tend to do this with my outfits.making expensive items look ordinary. anyways i like what they have done here. rather than blabbering on i will just let you look at the images for yourselves.

i love this look. it expresses my view on fashion as a whole, a refined corrupt look. taking overtly sexual or punkish looks and making them elegant. this look is by commes des garcons-its brilliantly completed with the chanel bag.
